The following permanent job positions are available at NRSO. All of these positions are currently hiring and are open to all Navy personnel (and civilian contractors with equivalent experience) unless otherwise noted. Additionally, all of these positions are permanent crew positions at NRSO unless otherwise noted.
Navy Medical Corps (NMC) Job Openings
- Doctor: Perform surgeries, diagnose patients, perform physical exams and perform a broad range of other medical services. Prerequisites: Completion the NMC Doctor training program and hold a rank of LTJG, CPO or civilian equivalent.
- Nurse: Perform physical exams, consult with patients and care for patients in this important hospital role. Prerequisites: Completion of the NMC Nurse training program and hold a rank of ENS, PO3 or civilian equivalent.
- Emergency Medical Technician: Respond to medical emergencies with state-of-the-art equipment and training. Prerequisites: Completion of the NMC EMT training program and hold a rank of ENS, PO3 or civilian equivalent.
- Physical Trainer: Teach others how to master physical training on the challenging NRSO physical training course. Prerequisites: Demonstrate an aptitude for physical fitness and ability on the training course, and an aptitude and ability to be a teacher.
Search and Rescue Training Center (SARTC) Job Openings
- Search and Rescue Pilot: Patrol the waters of the Aldabra Sea and respond to incoming distress signals. Communicate and coordinate with other military branches. Prerequisites: Completion of the SARTC SAR pilot training program.
- Rescue Swimmer: Be a first responder in marine rescue situations. With your teammate pilot and boatswain, patrol the waters of the Aldabra Sea and respond to marine distress signals. Prerequisites: Completion of the SARTC rescue swimmer training program.
- Rescue Swimming Instructor: Teach and train others to become a rescue swimmer. Prerequisites: Must be a certified rescue swimmer and demonstrate aptitude and ability as a teacher.
Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center (NDSTC) Job Openings
- Navy Diver: asd
NORCOM (NORTHERN COMMAND) AVAILABLE POSITIONS
- SAR Pilot
Conduct regular patrols in Navy helicopters and respond to emergency distress beacons in the Aldabra Sea regions. Prerequisites: Naval Air Crewman designation/rating or completion of the SARTC Pilot training program.
- Rescue Swimmer
Ride aboard patrols in the Aldabra Sea regions and respond to distress beacons at a moments notice; these are the first responders of the Navy's search and rescue operations. Prerequisites: Completion of the SARTC responder course.
- Master at Arms
Secure, patrol and defend the NRSO facility. Prerequisites: Completion of the Master at Arms a-school program at North Valley.
- Navy Diver
Perform salvage and rescue operations throughout the SL seas. Prerequisites: Completion of the NDTC a-school diver program.
- Surface Warfare Operator
Command a patrol and combat watercraft for combat operations or humanitarian search and rescue operations. Prerequisites: Completion of the SCTC a-school program.
